OutRight Action International launched the #PrideWithAPurpose campaign to call attention to the suffering the LGBTIQ community is facing around the world due to COVID-19 and invite you to help. 

As OutRight’s research shows, LGBTIQ people around the world are disproportionately affected by the pandemic, experiencing devastation of livelihoods, lack of access to vital healthcare, increased domestic violence, and even scapegoating by religious, government and other leaders. Many LGBTIQ organizations are on the brink of survival - threatening to set our movement for equality back by years. But OutRight’s COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund provides urgent assistance to grassroots queer organizations on the frontlines - and for many, there is no other place they can turn to for support. So far, OutRight has distributed 57 grants, supporting more than 20,000 people in 45 countries - but they received more than 1,500 applications, totaling $12 million in need. 

The goal of #PrideWithAPurpose is to raise additional funds during Pride month so that they can support more LGBTIQ organizations, communities and people around the world.
